"A New Point of View"

"Set Ablaze By God's Word"

The gospel reminds us that God’s Word brings spiritual fire: the fire of God's Word and God's Kingdom interacting with each person's identity.  We are inspired and set ablaze and we fan the flames for one another to keep God's love burning in our hearts. "Where is Your Heart?"

"How Shall We Pray?"

Jesus and his disciples were well schooled in prayer as part of their Jewish practice. The Shema and Kaddish and other prayers were committed to memory. They asked Jesus to give them a prayer that marked them as disciples and unify their community of faith. The Lord shared his prayer that still marks his followers today and offers them guidance for their spiritual lives. In sharing it we share in the life of Christ.
